Neon: hardier, cheaper, likes it cooler (70–77°F)
Cardinal: bigger, red stripe runs nose to tail, wants warm soft water (73–84°F)

Bristlenose pleco 🆚 Common pleco 🥊

Bristlenose: stays ~5 in, algae grazer, fine in a 20–30 gal
Common: can top 15 in, heavy waste, needs a monster tank
